The Staff Association Council will be meeting by video conference on 4 February and again on 25 February to plan a massive year ahead.
Please contact your Councillor or email csstaff@cpsu.org.au to suggest topics to be raised at these important Council meetings.
2021 also proclaims some exciting changes to Staff Association personnel.
Louise Jarman, formerly Victoria and Tasmania Organiser, has been promoted into the role of Lead Organiser for the Staff Association. Congratulations Louise.
The new Victoria and Tasmania Organiser is Ashley Sutherland. Welcome to the Staff Association family, Ashley.
Further, the Council has approved an extended period of leave for Secretary Sam Popovski. Following a difficult 2020 for all in relation to Covid restrictions, Sam, who is based in Melbourne, will be spending time with family in Perth over the next two months.
During Sam’s absence, the Council has appointed Susan Tonks to the role of Acting Secretary. Susan is an experienced and capable union leader that has worked with public sector science agencies over the last decade.
Our team look forward to continuing to protect and progress the interest of members in 2021 and advocating for the great work that CSIRO does for Australia.
