Performance review processes at CSIRO are set for a shake-up with the introduction of a new Annual Performance Agreement (APA) platform, effective 1 September 2022.
Developed as part of a larger project – in partnership external consultants Deloitte – to “reimagine performance,” CSIRO Executive claim the new APA form “allows for a dynamic experience supporting continuous performance and development.”
“Our performance vision is a humanistic and enabled performance approach driving consistent and transparent outcomes, aligned to CSIRO’s strategy and the needs of our people.”
Staff Association representatives recently met with senior management responsible for the implementation of the new APA system.
Initial responses to the new platform have been positive and the early feedback from members is welcoming of the upgrade, especially in comparison to the previous system that was criticised as overly rigid.
However, the new processes will require diligent implementation, with careful attention paid to the efficacy and efficiency of participant notification features throughout the APA cycle.
CSIRO have committed to a schedule of targeted communication to all staff over the next twelve months to support the implementation project.
Union representatives will continue to meet with senior management throughout the implementation process.
Staff Association members are encouraged to email csstaff@cpsu.org.au or contact an organiser with specific feedback on the new APA platform.
Staff Association members receive workplace support for a wide range of issues, including Annual Performance Agreements.
