Join us to hear Professor Ross Garnaut in conversation with CPSU National Secretary Melissa Donnelly, discussing the role of the federal public sector in tackling climate change.
The event is organised by the CPSU Climate Action Network – which brings together interested from across different workplaces – who believe that climate change is union business.
Ross Garnaut is an economist and author of Super-Power: Australia’s Low-Carbon Opportunity.
In this book Professor Garnaut makes the case for Australia’s unique potential to become an economic superpower of the future post-carbon world and sets out a roadmap for how we would achieve this, one in which the Australian Public Service has a fundamental role to play.
His upcoming book Reset: Restoring Australia After the Pandemic Recession offers a pathway for Australia towards post-pandemic restoration.
Professor Garnaut is the professorial research fellow in economics at the University of Melbourne. In 2008, he produced the Garnaut Climate Change Review for the Australian government.
